How long does it take?

About two hours, the two of us working together.

Do you use Easy-Off or other harsh chemicals?

No. We clean with a degreaser and steam, not the kind of oven spray that burns your skin or fills the kitchen with fumes.

Can you get a really old oven clean?

Usually, yes. Most ovens come back close to new in one visit. Not everything always lifts the first time, though. If you want yours truly immaculate, we schedule a shorter second visit, inside only, for $80.

Can you do the oven as part of my Kitchen Reset?

Yes. Your Kitchen Reset already includes the outside of the oven and stove, so we add the inside only on a separate visit for $120.

Do I need to prep anything before you come?

A little. Empty the oven, clear off the stovetop, and make sure the oven is cool, not hot, when we arrive. No need to leave it cold overnight.

Do you clean behind the oven?

We clean under and around the oven as far as we safely can, but we don't pull it out. Most ranges here run on propane, and we don't disconnect gas lines.

What Oven Spa is

Mt. Rose Precision Cleaning does deep oven cleaning in Reno, NV. We take the oven apart and clean it by hand: the door, glass, inside, and racks. No spray-and-wipe, and no harsh chemicals most people rely on. We clean the parts that a regular cleaning doesn't reach.

What we will clean

The outside

First, remove the grates, burners, and knobs, and clean each piece separately. If your stove has a griddle, that will come off too.

We'll clean off everything that has spilled or baked onto the surfaces.

We'll clean edges and seams with steam. The grime hiding there makes an oven look old and used.

We'll clean the gaps between the oven and the cabinets on each side.

Under the oven, we'll clear the debris, then clean the legs and the floor around them.

The inside

The door will come off and the racks will come out.

We'll degrease and steam the whole inside: ceiling, walls, floor, and back.

Buildup hides in the lines where the parts connect, so we will get in there with steamer.

We'll clean the door, front and back, and the glass.

The racks soak separately, off the oven, then we scrub them clean.

WHAT ARE YOU UP AGAIN

Why won't it just wipe off?

Two things build up inside: an even layer baked onto the surface, and dark food spatters burned into hard spots, the hardest to get off. Neither wipes away, but neither is permanent. Both clean off once you can reach them, and reaching them is the real problem. That is why we take the oven apart.
