How long does it take?

Four to six hours, the two of us working together. A bigger or greasier kitchen takes longer.

Can I do the oven at the same time?

The outside of your oven is already part of the Kitchen Reset. If you want the inside done too, we do that on a separate visit for $120.

Do you move the fridge and stove to clean behind them?

Not yet. We clean around and under the appliances as far as we safely can, but we don't pull them out.

Do you organize or declutter?

No, we clean external surfaces. But we clear every surface to clean properly, then put everything back. Your kitchen is completely empty while we work.

What Kitchen Reset is

We do proper kitchen deep cleaning in Reno, NV. Two of us spend four to six hours on a single kitchen, starting at the ceiling and ending at the floor. We focus on the places a regular clean skips: the tops of the cabinets, the wall and ceiling above the stove, the hood, the backsplash.

We are not there to tidy. We are there to take grease, dust, and food specks out of every surface so your kitchen can be what it is: the place that works hard for your family.

What we will clean

We remove everything

Every surface gets cleared before we start. The whole kitchen is empty while we work, and we put it all back when we're done.

Ceiling, walls, and light fixtures

We start at the top: the ceiling, the food spatter above the stove and microwave, the walls, and the light fixtures and bulbs.

Cabinet tops

Our specialty. All of it, front to back, not just the front edge. That is where the greasy smell in a kitchen comes from.

Hood and oven

We degrease the hood inside and out and clean the filters. We clean the microwave hood too, if that is what you have. The outside of the oven and the stovetop get real time: the seams steamed, underneath cleaned.

Appliances

Exteriors cleaned and buffed. We clear the debris that collects underneath.

Backsplash and countertops

We work the backsplash until it is clean. Textured tile like orange peel takes longer, so we give it the time. Countertops cleaned and buffed.

Lower cabinets and floors

Cabinet fronts and sides, then the floor edges, toe kicks, and baseboards, scrubbed by hand.

Your family kitchen needs a thorough cleaning once in a while

Not sure whether yours is due? Get a ladder and go look.

Run your finger along the top of your cabinets. If it comes back sticky, that is grease.
Are the cabinet doors above the microwave sticky to the touch?
The wall and ceiling above your cabinets: yellow, dusty, or both?
Look closely at the ceiling above the stove. Most people find food splatter they had never noticed.
If your light bulbs are dusty, your walls and ceiling are too.

This is why it happens. Grease rises when you cook, and not all of it goes into the hood. It travels; it lands on every surface above you, and dust sticks to it. Year after year, it hardens into something that does not wipe off. It sits in the places nobody looks, which is why the kitchen can be cleaned every week and still not be clean.
